Sterling Silver Moonstone & Marcasite Necklace
Pre-loved beautifully designed Silver, Moonstone and Marcasite Tear Drop / Pear shape Pendant and Necklace.
The pendant is hallmarked, as is the necklace chain…stating 925 in silver purity and Simply Silver on the necklace tag, a mid-century piece.
The silver necklace chain has been chosen for this pendant, you may wish to display such a pendant with your own chain of choice.
The pendant is quite stunning and decorative with the bail also being of the same decoration of elaborate silver craftmanship and marcasite gemstones.
With a modern take on the late 1800’s Victorian style, the pendant is in excellent condition, the bright silver and moonstone next to the darker tone of marcasite work together fantastically, the pendant stands out as a very elegant piece of jewellery.
Please note that this pendant is not a modern brand new piece of jewellery, while every effort has been taken to clean the silver there will be parts of the pendant that will remain slightly discoloured and somewhat darker in colour, this is due to the age of the silver. Having this professionally cleaned is always an option whereas many collectors of vintage silver tend to prefer the look of aged sterling silver .
The pendant measures approx 3.5cm in length and 1.5cm at the widest part. The silver snake chain length is 16″.
