Beautifully designed decorative replica viking bronze key with chain.

The cut-out design of the key is typical of the era, remade as a modern piece of jewellery to wear.

This modern piece of jewellery was made around the late 1990’s, in original style it is quite the statement piece that is great for day to day wear.

The bronze is hallmarked KOPI the makers-mark on the back of the pendant.

The pendant measures approx 50mm in length and 2mm thickness. The matching chain is a 60cm longline chain, equally coupled well with the pendant.

Designer/Maker – Museums Kopi Smykker – Viking age (800-1050 AD). Key to the gate of heaven replica. Religious symbol hung by the Vikings as an amulet around the neck. It was thought to make it possible for the Vikings to open the gate of heaven themselves. Larger and more rustic keys however, have been ornamented handicraft for more common use.
